Hatha

"Ha" means sun and "t(h)a" means moon. Hatha Yoga is bringing balance between these two forces within you. We see an emphasis on asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing practices) however, this form of Yoga also prepares the practitioner for higher states of consciousness through concentration, sense withdrawl, meditation, ethical guidance and the experience of unity.
